Supernatural fanfic audio books... porn on the go! Love it!
It's been ages since I last posted, again. Since I last posted I have: Been on holiday to SnowdonKnitted my first scarf (it looks a bit wobbly) Attended Spig's sisters weddingBeen told to eat more salt to help with my faint spells Got a new tattoo Lost 20 pounds Had some synth dreads put in and taken outSpent far too much time reading fan fic Held the first annual AWI picnic. and other stuff that escapes me right now. We are off to Center Parcs in a few weeks time, have ordered a very cute swim suit for the occasion, just hope it gets here in time. The Snowdon Range ( A few photos under the cut )
I had such a good weekend, the first official meeting of the AWI (alternative women's institute) on Saturday and then on Sunday I went to a clothes swap and found good homes for a load of my clothes that don't fit any more. Going to IKEA first thing tomorrow/today and then spending the rest of the day with my family. Last weekend I got a micro-dermal anchor by my ear and this weekend I had hair extensions put in, really loving them too. Nothing else to report really, been feeling faint a little more than usual but feeling better now. Spig's sisters wedding is next weekend, looking forward to that but kinda dreading it too, I'm never very good with the relatives of my partners. Also dreading the inevitable "so when are you going to get married?" questions. Anyway I am off to bed now, night night.
Friday was mine and Spigs 5 year anniversary, we didn't actually get to see much of each other on the day as I was at work and then I went to see the girls latter in the day. Today however we went into Brum and did some shopping and had a nice meal together. I'm not sure how I feel about the 5 years thing, it's a record for me but not for him, I suppose I feel quietly proud that he's still willing to put up with me. In other news... oh wait, I don't have any other news, I'm so boring. Anyway recently I have mostly been reading a lot of supernatural, twilight and even a bit of Harry Potter fan fic. I have become addicted to lolcats and fail blog. I have not played WOW for ages. And I and a group of friends have started the AWI, the alternative women's institute, a group of crafty like minded souls, I've even been promised a meeting where someone is going to teach me how to knit.
Thu, Jan. 29th, 2009, 12:29 am Weepy films?
What films make you weep, and I mean really bawl? The most recent film I've seen that had me in pieces was "PS I love you", embarrassing but true, I pretty much cried all the way through that one. "Grave of the Fireflies" was pretty spectacularly tragic as well. And if I think too much about "Brokeback Mountain" even now I start to tear up. There are many many more, cuz you know, I'm a big old cry baby and it really doesn't take much to start me off, but what about you? In other news I've been invited to a school reunion, I feel very strange about this, I feel like I've come a long way since leaving school and I suppose that I'm worried that if I see all those people again I'll regress back to who I was then, which is to say kind of shy, plain and very awkward... ok thinking about it I probably haven't changed all that much but my hair is definitely cooler now, hopefully.
So I wanted to post some photos from last year, I got a little carried away though and there are quite a few of them, if you've the band width for it click on the cut.
I have been kinda neglecting LJ and I feel bad about it, I haven't even been keeping up with my friends page. I'm hoping to change that this year, I still have nothing interesting to say but I do miss the therapeutic nature of venting and rambling. So last year I attended 4 wedding and enjoyed them all thoroughly, it really does warm the heart to see my friends so happy. Next month Spig and I will have been living together for a year, and we haven't killed each other yet so things are looking good, I suppose the next logical step is to look into buying a house together, we shall see where we are at the end of the year maybe. My new job at the Ministry of justice is going well and I'm enjoying it so far, wish I was getting some more photography done in my spare time though. 13 hours later and my back tattoo is finished, still haven't got any photos of it, will get round to it at some point honestly. Christmas was lovely, Spig got me tickets to go see Wicked in London and my parents and Chris and Jodie got me and Spig a Wii and Wii fit. New year was spent in fabulous company and much fun was had, thanks to Sara and Peet for inviting us. Spig and I and our old guild started playing WoW again last year and I'm still enjoying playing for now, though it does feel like there are just too many games to be playing at the moment for something that takes up as much time as the craft does. Last year I got a little addicted to the Twilight series, and so far the obsession shows no sign of waning, I've read all 4 books and listened to all the audio books (about 3 times each now), I'm such a sucker for a bit of romance, I've even read some fan fic. I love the film too and have seen it twice, I know how flawed it is, and I did end up laughing when I wasn't supposed to, and yes the acting was just shocking in places but I love it regardless. My new years resolutions are to grow my hair out and keep it red, get 2 more piercings, keep working on my Cross stitch and use the wii fit at least 2 times a week. Think I might do a picture post of the last year in a bit, an excuse to flex my editing muscle a little. I hope everyone is LJ land is well and that I haven't missed too much.

Got back yesterday from a visit to see helenwhat and the_scifiboy and their lovely new flat. Had a lovely time apart from getting a cold and feeling like death for most of the visit. I start my new job in September, very excited about that. Spig on the other hand found out today that he wont have a job in November. We're trying to see it as a positive thing but he's understandably a bit bummed out about the whole thing. Am currently looking for a big poofy petticoat to go with a dress I brought last week, the only ones I can find though are either too short or just too expensive. Just finished watching Firefly and rewatching Serenity, I want more! Sulk. I can't believe I'm still editing holiday photos. Spig's getting big muscles in his arms, I'm not sure how I feel about this. Though I am really happy that he's enjoying his climbing.
Lately I have mostly been taking and editing photos, playing Lego Star Wars with Spig on the Xbox 360, playing Lego Indiana Jones on my DS, reading lots of Paranormal Romances (Vampire/Werewolf porn), getting a sore back and sore eyes doing my cross stitch (black stitching on a black background!!!!) and watching Battlestar Galactica on DVD with Spig. Which all sounds a lot more geeky than I expected it to. I am looking forward to Diablo 3 with unparalleled expectation and excitement, Diablo 2 was the first game I ever played where I killed stuff (if you don't count sending people off half built rides in Rollercoaster Tycoon). I am also looking forward to 3 more weddings this year (this time next year I'll be the only unmarried person I know). Oh and my back tattoo, I am really, really looking forward to getting the bugger finished, hopefully this year. I finally caved a few weeks ago and got all the hair that was fried from too much bleaching cut off. I am very much loving my new hair cut. Thinking some new piercings might be in order soon and maybe even some dermal implants as I've seen Angel's and they are the cuteness! PS. I really want a Wii and a Wii fit (please refrain from making urine related jokes)
Last weekend was fun, nice seeing everyone at Tammy's and getting to see the kitties again. This weekend is another busy one with Sara's hen night on Saturday and going with Tammy for her first tattoo on Sunday. And then it'll only be a week till we go on holiday with my parents to the peak district, looking forward to that sooo much. My job hunting goes on, although I'll be going back to my previous place for a bit to help out as my old bosses child is ill in hospital and they need a hand. Righty, must go find something productive to do.
